Off-White to Open First Permanent Boutique in Paris

Exciting news for Off-White fans as the brand is set to open its first permanent boutique in Paris. Following a successful pop-up store and corners in department stores, the brand, founded by Virgil Abloh, is ready to establish a permanent presence in the capital city. The chosen location for the boutique is just a few steps away from the brand’s previous pop-up store at 229 rue Saint-Honoré. Situated at 4 rue de Castiglione in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, the future temple of streetwear is being designed by the renowned OMA architecture firm, known for their work on the Off-White store in Miami’s Design District.

Virgil Abloh, the founder of Off-White and Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton, took to Instagram to reminisce about the beginnings of the brand. He shared a photo of the billboard with the inscription “Coming Soon / Ouverture Prochaine,” maintaining an air of mystery with the annotation “shhh… don’t tell anyone…”. On the Off-White Paris account, a photo of the store’s layout was posted, accompanied by the phrase “ironically under construction.” This teaser has left fans eagerly anticipating the grand opening.

Virgil Abloh’s journey in fashion started as a stylist for Kanye West before he launched his first label, Pyrex Vision. Eight years ago, he created Off-White and quickly gained recognition in the industry. The brand opened numerous boutiques worldwide, collaborated with various brands, and revolutionized street-couture fashion. Off-White was initially owned by the New Guards Group and has been integrated into the Farfetch company since 2019, following the group’s acquisition. Virgil Abloh’s modern and pioneering vision of fashion has inspired many designers and brands.

The establishment of streetwear in the heart of Paris showcases the growing influence of this style in the fashion world. Despite some predictions, streetwear continues to thrive and compete with the flagship stores of renowned luxury houses. Earlier this year, American brand Kith also set up a store filled with streetwear pieces near Avenue Montaigne and the Champs-Elysées.

Stay tuned for more updates on the opening of the highly anticipated Off-White boutique in Paris. As of now, no further information has been disclosed.
