Nordstrom Drops Ivanka Trump’s Fashion Brand

Nordstrom, a prominent American retail chain, has recently made the decision to stop selling Ivanka Trump’s clothing and shoes in their stores. This move comes as a result of Ivanka Trump’s declining sales, which have been heavily impacted by a boycott campaign led by two women in the United States. With this development, customers will soon no longer be able to purchase Ivanka Trump’s fashion brand at Nordstrom.

The decline in sales of Ivanka Trump’s brand can be attributed to the boycott campaign, which gained significant traction following her father’s election as President of the United States. The campaign, known as #GrabYourWallet, was initiated in October 2016 by two women who strongly opposed Donald Trump’s policies. This movement aimed to encourage consumers to boycott companies associated with the Trump family.

Nordstrom actively supported the #GrabYourWallet campaign by joining it on social media platforms. The retail chain embraced the boycott by no longer carrying Ivanka Trump’s products, demonstrating their alignment with customers who felt strongly about the issue. Previously, Nordstrom was included in the campaign’s list of companies supporting Donald Trump, alongside Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, and Amazon.

The success of the #GrabYourWallet campaign has prompted Nordstrom’s decision to discontinue selling Ivanka Trump’s creations, and as a result, the retail chain will be removed from the campaign’s list on the grabyourwallet.org website. Neiman Marcus has already been removed from the list after ceasing to sell Ivanka Trump’s products online. The fate of Macy’s, however, remains uncertain, as it remains to be seen whether they will follow suit.

Overall, the impact of President Donald Trump’s election has undeniably influenced the performance of Ivanka Trump’s brand. With Nordstrom’s decision to drop her products due to declining sales, it signals a significant blow to the fashion brand’s presence in the American retail market.
