Net-a-Porter Introduces ‘Style Trial’ Service

Net-a-Porter has introduced a new service called “Style Trial” which allows its VIP customers to try before they buy. This exclusive concept is available to selected clients who can order up to 30 items and have them delivered to their home for a seven-day trial period. Customers will only be charged for the items they decide to keep, while the ones that don’t work for them can be returned free of charge. This offering is an expansion of Net-a-Porter’s existing “Net-a-Porter at Home” service and incorporates the convenience of their “You Try We Wait” delivery service.

The company’s Head of VIP Client Relations, Lupe Puerta, believes that the new “Style Trial” service will be particularly popular among customers interested in fine jewelry and watches. This personalized approach allows customers to make more informed decisions and ensures a high level of customer satisfaction.

Net-a-Porter is not the only fashion retailer embracing personalized services. Nordstrom stores have also taken a similar approach by offering in-store customization and establishing “Nordstrom Local” concept stores that provide access to personal stylists. Additionally, Amazon introduced its Prime Wardrobe try-before-you-buy service in 2017, and Walmart launched a shopping assistance service that connects customers with personal assistants for purchasing advice.

The fashion industry is increasingly moving towards personalized experiences to cater to the unique needs of customers. By offering services like “Style Trial,” retailers are aiming to provide convenience, choice, and a high level of customer satisfaction.
