Neiman Marcus Makes Key Appointments to Support Growth Strategy

Neiman Marcus Group (NMG) has recently made some key appointments to its leadership team in order to support its growth strategy and elevate its brand positioning in the competitive retail industry. Nabil Aliffi has been named the chief brand officer, while Stefanie Tsen Ward has been promoted to the role of chief retail officer.

As the chief brand officer, Nabil Aliffi will be responsible for enhancing Neiman Marcus’ customer touchpoints and creating a consistent brand voice across all channels. With his extensive experience as the global chief creative officer of Soho House & Co, Nabil brings valuable expertise in leading creative vision, services, and digital membership offerings. He has also held leadership positions at esteemed retailers like Selfridges and Urban Outfitters in the past.

On the other hand, Stefanie Tsen Ward will take on the role of chief retail officer, focusing on bringing Neiman Marcus’ physical stores to life. Her previous experience in omni-channel leadership, including her time at Neiman Marcus since 2018, has played a significant role in the success of the company’s integrated retail strategy. Under her guidance, 70% of NMG stores achieved their highest revenue in more than ten years during FY22.

Both Aliffi and Tsen Ward will join the brand leadership team at Neiman Marcus and report directly to Ryan Ross, the president of Neiman Marcus Brand. Ross, who recently joined the company, believes that these strategic appointments will enable the iconic brand to further enhance its unique appeal to customers and drive growth.

Neiman Marcus is investing heavily in key areas of its business to ensure its continued success. The company has announced a $200 million strategic investment in its stores over the next three years, aiming to create exceptional brand experiences, offer inviting spaces for style advisors, and introduce exciting food and beverage concepts. Additionally, Neiman Marcus will be revamping its digital platforms to provide an enhanced and seamless customer experience.

With the appointment of Nabil Aliffi as chief brand officer and the promotion of Stefanie Tsen Ward to chief retail officer, Neiman Marcus is solidifying its position as a leading luxury retailer in the United States. These strategic roles will contribute to the ongoing transformation of the brand and support its growth in the rapidly evolving retail landscape.
