Neiman Marcus Launches First Store in Manhattan Since 1907

Neiman Marcus is making a significant move by launching its first store in Manhattan since 1907. The luxury retailer is set to open its doors at The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards this Friday, featuring a spacious 188,000-square-foot store spread across three floors. This location will offer a carefully curated selection of products exclusively chosen for this particular store, providing customers with a unique shopping experience.

What sets this new Neiman Marcus store apart is its emphasis on digital features. The store will introduce a digital styling lounge where customers can interact with a digital stylist. Additionally, digital-enabled fitting rooms equipped with touch screens, customizable lighting, and the option to check out from the room will be available. Other cutting-edge features include Memory Makeover mirrors for beauty tutorials, a digital sunglasses mirror for trying on various styles, digital directories, and charging stations for customers’ convenience.

Geoffroy van Raemdonck, CEO of Neiman Marcus Group, expressed his enthusiasm for this new location, emphasizing its alignment with the brand’s strategy to evolve into a digital luxury platform. Neiman Marcus Hudson Yards is designed to cater to the next generation of luxury shoppers by providing a seamless and enchanting customer experience through physical and digital interactions.

Exclusive services at the Hudson Yards location will include the Neiman Marcus Travel Shop, Cook & Merchant’s Kitchen for culinary experiences, Neiman Marcus Live performance stage, and the BLVD beauty salon offering a range of beauty services. The store will also host a Lucchese boot shop and a curated Resurrection Vintage boutique by Katy Rodriguez and Mark Haddawy.

With the debut of Neiman Marcus Hudson Yards, all eyes are on this store for its innovative in-store technologies as well as its potential impact on the Hudson Yards development. Despite initial uncertainties, several retailers and brands, such as Rhone, Pandora, Cartier, and Van Cleef, have chosen to establish themselves at this 28-acre development, demonstrating a growing interest in the area. Neiman Marcus is poised to make a statement and deliver a personalized shopping experience in this vibrant new location.
