Mytheresa Partners with Loewe for Extravagant Event at Sheats-Goldstein Residence

Mytheresa, the renowned luxury fashion retailer, partnered with Loewe for an extravagant event at the iconic Sheats-Goldstein Residence in Los Angeles. Building on the success of last year’s collaboration with Loro Piana in the same city, CEO Michael Kliger chose this stunning venue to celebrate the exclusive online release of the Loewe Paula’s Ibiza collection.

Historically off-limits to the public, the Sheats-Goldstein Residence is a historic home located in Beverly Crest. Designed by architect John Lautner in the 1960s, its futuristic design adds to its allure. The owner of the house, James Goldstein, an avid fashion and basketball enthusiast, generously donated the residence to the LACMA museum in 2016.

Carefully selected guests, numbering 80 in total, were transported to the residence via golf carts and were warmly greeted by Mytheresa CEO Michael Kliger, as well as the Loewe team, including CEO Pascale Lepoivre and creative director Jonathan Anderson. This event served as a celebration of the longstanding partnership between Mytheresa and Loewe. Since the launch of the Paula’s Ibiza collection in 2017, Mytheresa has been the exclusive retailer for select pieces from the line. Kliger expressed his admiration for Jonathan Anderson’s creative work and the remarkable ascent of the Loewe brand.

Following the cocktail party at the Sheats-Goldstein Residence, the guests were invited to a candlelit dinner with breathtaking views of the city. The menu featured delectable dishes such as lobster, risotto, beef, meringue, and ice cream, ensuring a delightful culinary experience. The festivities then continued at ‘Club Loewe MyTheresa’, an entertainment complex located on the property. The party offered a large bar, DJ, and a pool area where guests could enjoy cocktails and petits fours.

The event, hailed by attendees as “the party of the year,” showcased Mytheresa’s strong presence in the United States. The company is experiencing significant growth, with Florida leading in sales, closely followed by the dynamic West Coast and the East Coast. Regional buying behaviors differ, with Florida embracing a festive spirit, while the West Coast leans towards relaxed and cool fashion.

This event is part of a global tour organized by Mytheresa, with the next destination being Portofino in early June. The collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana will be the highlight of this enchanting location. Additionally, Mytheresa recently launched a watches section on its website and is expanding its jewelry and lifestyle offerings, solidifying its position as a prominent luxury retailer.
