Mytheresa Expands and Upgrades Luxury Menswear Store

Luxury e-tailer Mytheresa has recently reopened and expanded its menswear store in Munich’s city center. The expansion demonstrates the company’s dedication to physical retail and aims to establish itself as the leading destination for luxury menswear, both online and offline. The store, designed by Italian firm Studio Baciocchi, has undergone a complete makeover to create a spacious and luxurious environment that embodies the essence of modern luxury menswear.

Originally opened in 2020 during a challenging time for brick-and-mortar stores, the Mytheresa menswear store has now tripled in size, expanding from 100 sq m to around 300 sq m. The store offers an exclusive and carefully curated selection of men’s ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories, and footwear from renowned brands like Bottega Veneta, Celine, Gucci, Givenchy, Jil Sander, Moncler, Prada, and Saint Laurent. Recently, the store has also added Loewe, Jacquemus, and Brunello Cucinelli to its designer portfolio, giving customers even more options to choose from.

Studio Baciocchi’s design concept for the store focuses on luxurious materials and innovative spatial arrangements. Natural elements seamlessly blend with mirrored surfaces, creating an aesthetic that is both sophisticated and welcoming. The original store’s design elements have been integrated with new features, such as a larger storefront and a new entrance that entices customers to explore the store. Additional fitting rooms and a repositioned cashier area have also been introduced to enhance convenience and provide superior customer service. Despite its larger size, the store still manages to maintain an intimate, home-like atmosphere.

Mytheresa CEO Michael Klinger emphasizes that the expanded store offers an elevated shopping experience for consumers and strives to create the ultimate luxury shopping destination for menswear. Mytheresa acknowledges the significance of physical retail and, with the upgrade of its menswear store, reaffirms its commitment to delivering a seamless and immersive luxury shopping experience, whether customers choose to shop online or in-store.
