Mulberry Announces Collaboration with Vestiaire Collective’s Brand Approved Program

Mulberry, the renowned British leather goods designer and maker, has recently announced its collaboration with Vestiaire Collective’s Brand Approved program. This move follows the success of Alexander McQueen, who was the first brand to participate in the program earlier this year. Mulberry’s decision to partner with Vestiaire Collective aligns perfectly with its goal of providing a fully circular product offering and ensuring that its collections are cherished and passed down from generation to generation.

Previously, Mulberry introduced the Mulberry Exchange program in the UK last year to facilitate the resale of their products. However, by joining forces with Vestiaire Collective, the brand now has the opportunity to reach a much broader audience globally. Similar to Alexander McQueen, Mulberry products now have their own dedicated Brand Approved page on the Vestiaire Collective platform. Here, the bags are meticulously authenticated and refurbished by Mulberry’s skilled artisans in Britain, offering customers the assurance of quality and authenticity. The initial offering on the page includes a selection of rare and limited-edition pieces.

Thierry Andretta, CEO of Mulberry, expressed his excitement about this partnership and emphasized that the brand’s “Made to Last” ethos, which has been at the core of their philosophy since its establishment in 1971, continues to shape their design and manufacturing practices today. Andretta also highlighted the positive response from customers when Mulberry launched the Mulberry Exchange program last year. Now, through their collaboration with Vestiaire Collective, Mulberry aims to further expand its sustainable luxury choices to its global community.

By embracing Vestiaire Collective’s Brand Approved program, Mulberry showcases its unwavering commitment to sustainability and the circular economy. This collaboration provides customers with the opportunity to access pre-loved Mulberry products that have undergone thorough authentication and refurbishment, ensuring their longevity while reducing waste. Mulberry’s active participation in the program strengthens its position as a frontrunner in the fashion industry’s efforts to adopt more sustainable practices. As consumers become increasingly aware of the environmental impact of their choices, brands like Mulberry are taking proactive steps to meet their preferences and contribute to a more sustainable future. Through the partnership with Vestiaire Collective, Mulberry is evolving its approach, offering customers the chance to own luxurious and timeless pieces while embracing a circular mindset.
