Mowalola Ogunlesi, an up-and-coming fashion designer and graduate of Central Saint Martins, has recently launched a temporary pop-up store in London’s trendy Shoreditch neighborhood. The store, situated at the Dray Walk Gallery, will be open for just two days, from November 26th to November 28th.
Renowned for her daring and vibrant designs, Mowalola is presenting her latest merchandise drop, titled ‘Lola Land,’ as well as showcasing some of her archival pieces at the pop-up store. Visitors will also have the exclusive opportunity to purchase a limited-edition ‘Monsta’ boot, available in three striking color options, alongside the brand’s iconic ‘Bundle’ bags.
In addition to the fashion and accessories on display, the pop-up store will also include a selection of unique furniture pieces. Notably, there will be a collaboration with Chapel, resulting in the creation of an artistic table that adds an extra touch of creativity to the store.
Mowalola’s decision to establish a physical store signifies her growing influence as a designer based in London. Her debut show at London Fashion Week in 2019 attracted attention from notable artists and designers, including Drake, Solange, Kim Jones, and Skepta.
Since then, Mowalola has achieved considerable success and formed exciting collaborations. She collaborated with Nike to design the Nigerian football team’s kit, worked with Skepta on his ‘Pure Water’ music video, and was chosen by British Vogue as one of six designers to dress the 60th anniversary Barbie.
