Moschino is set to make a strong comeback in the fashion industry with the launch of a new line focused solely on denim. Called Mo5ch1no Jeans, this exciting collection of women’s clothing and accessories by Moschino’s creative director Jeremy Scott will embrace the world of blue fabric. The line will make its debut in the fall 2023 pre-collection, and customers will be able to purchase the items online or at select multi-brand stores from May 2023.
Mo5ch1no Jeans is an essential part of the new strategy implemented by Aeffe, the parent company of Moschino. Aeffe has recently taken control of all strategic activities of the brand, including acquiring the remaining 30% of Moschino’s capital from the Sinv group. This move demonstrates Aeffe’s commitment to the success and growth of Moschino.
Furthermore, Aeffe has also taken over the management responsibilities for Love Moschino, which was previously produced and distributed under a license by Sinv. Love Moschino, originally launched as Moschino Jeans in 1986 by founder Franco Moschino, underwent a rebranding in 2008. The revitalized line draws inspiration from tradition, history, and denim culture. It blends European roots with American pop culture influences to create a fresh and modern aesthetic.
The reimagined Moschino Jeans line will embody the label’s signature irony, but with a contemporary twist in terms of design and production. The denim will be treated using various techniques, including washes, sanforization, fringing, and stylish patchwork pockets made from unexpected fabrics. In addition to denim, Mo5ch1no Jeans will feature pieces and accessories crafted from other fabrics that imitate the look of denim, such as chambray, cotton, jersey, velvet, and leather. Classic denim embellishments like rivets and metal buttons will adorn these items, adding a touch of authenticity.
