Moose Knuckles Announces Collaboration with Eckhaus Latta

Moose Knuckles, the renowned Canadian luxury outerwear brand, has recently announced a highly anticipated collaboration with designers Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta, the creative minds behind the label Eckhaus Latta. This exclusive collection is set to launch on February 3, and will be available for purchase on Moose Knuckles’ website, in their physical stores, as well as select global retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Ssense.

Through this partnership, Moose Knuckles aims to reimagine its iconic outerwear pieces by incorporating Eckhaus Latta’s unique artistic vision. Joseph McGee, the vice president of women’s design at Moose Knuckles, expressed his admiration for Mike and Zoe’s work, which is deeply rooted in craftsmanship and community. He saw a natural synergy between their ethos and Moose Knuckles’ commitment to delivering fearless and functional fashion to their community.

The collaboration with Eckhaus Latta has provided Moose Knuckles with the opportunity to explore new artistic and technical possibilities. By blending their design techniques, the two brands have reinvented classic outerwear pieces, utilizing techniques that have not been seen in previous Moose Knuckles collections. The 10-piece collection features a range of items, including a lightweight quilt blanket jacket, raincoat, hoodie, convertible windbreaker jackets, and matching pants. All of these pieces are available in muted tones such as coconut milk, stretch limo, and white asparagus. One of the standout features of this collection is the use of a new hyper-light form of down and a bespoke blend of hand-dyed feathers, which add a unique visual effect to the garments. The collection proudly showcases the RDS certified down, along with the use of transparent nylon and hand-dyed melange down.

To capture the essence of this exciting collaboration, the collection is accompanied by a visually stunning campaign. The campaign was shot by Brianna Capozzi, styled by Matt Holmes, and art directed by Eric Wrenn. Together, they aimed to convey a fashion-forward narrative with a subtly perverse and confusing twist. Each member of the creative team brings their off-kilter perspectives to the table, resulting in a campaign that perfectly represents the collection’s innovative and boundary-pushing spirit.

In terms of pricing, the collection ranges from $390 to $925 USD, making it accessible to a wide range of consumers. In addition to this collaboration, Moose Knuckles has big plans for expansion. Currently operating over a dozen stores, the brand intends to increase its global footprint to over 35 stores and pop-up locations in North America and Europe. This strategic move reflects Moose Knuckles’ commitment to reaching a broader audience while maintaining their reputation as a luxury outerwear brand.

Overall, the collaboration between Moose Knuckles and Eckhaus Latta marks an exciting step for both brands. It allows them to push boundaries, experiment with new design languages, and create a truly unique collection that combines the strengths of both brands. This collaboration offers a fresh perspective on luxury outerwear and sets the stage for future industry innovations.
