Moncler Reports Remarkable Surge in Sales, Names Robert Triefus as CEO of Stone Island

Moncler, the renowned Italian fashion group, has reported a remarkable surge in sales for the first quarter of this year. At constant exchange rates, the company experienced a 23% increase in sales, exceeding the expectations of analysts. This impressive growth can be attributed to the strong demand from Chinese customers and solid growth in the EMEA region.

During the three-month period ending in March, Moncler generated overall revenues of 726.4 million euros ($799 million), surpassing the analysts’ consensus of 689 million euros. The sales of the flagship Moncler brand in Asia witnessed a substantial rise of 32% compared to the same quarter of the previous year. In the Americas, there was a 9% increase in sales, while the EMEA region witnessed a significant 29% rise in revenues. The growth in the EMEA region can be attributed to both local demand and purchases from tourists, notably Americans and Koreans.

In addition to this success, Moncler also announced the appointment of Robert Triefus as the Chief Executive Officer of its Stone Island brand. Triefus will spearhead the strategic development and international expansion of the brand as it enters the next phase of growth.

The Moncler brand achieved a 28% increase in global quarterly sales, totaling 604.8 million euros. Similarly, Stone Island reported a 5% rise in sales, amounting to 121.6 million euros. Both brands experienced double-digit growth in the retail segment, further bolstering their overall success.

The strong sales performance in the first quarter underscores Moncler’s resilience and adaptability to changing market conditions. With the appointment of Robert Triefus, the company aims to further elevate the growth and global prominence of the Stone Island brand. These positive sales figures indicate that Moncler is on track for a successful year ahead.
