Moncler Announces Impressive 55% Revenue Increase for Q3 2021

Moncler, the renowned Italian luxury down jacket maker, has announced an impressive 55% increase in revenue for the third quarter of this year. This exceptional growth can be attributed to strong sales in key markets such as North America, China, and South Korea, surpassing the expectations of industry analysts.

In particular, sales of the Moncler brand alone experienced a remarkable 27% growth at constant exchange rates, reaching a total of 455 million euros ($531.62 million). These figures not only surpass the previous year’s results but even exceed the performance from the third quarter of 2019, before the global pandemic took hold.

This growth in revenue comes on the heels of the second quarter, where Moncler’s sales more than doubled from 2020 figures. However, the growth for this period was only 5% higher than the same period in 2019.

The acquisition of the prestigious Stone Island brand, which was integrated into Moncler’s accounts in April, played a significant role in the overall performance. Stone Island contributed 100 million euros to the group sales figure, resulting in a consolidated revenue of 555.5 million euros. This represents an impressive 33% increase compared to the same period in 2019.

Market analysts had initially predicted a total sales figure of 538 million euros for the quarter, with 446 million euros attributed to the Moncler brand and 92 million euros to Stone Island. These estimations were provided to analysts by the company itself.

There are several factors contributing to Moncler’s exceptional sales growth. Firstly, the brand’s enduring popularity and reputation as a leading luxury outerwear label have played a significant role. Additionally, Moncler’s expansion into new markets has further bolstered its success. The brand’s ability to adapt and innovate in response to changing consumer preferences has also been a driving force. By integrating sustainability initiatives into its business model, Moncler has appealed to a growing number of conscious consumers.
