Ministry of Culture Launches Grants for Digital Content for Fashion Brands

The Ministry of Culture has recently announced a new call for projects aimed at promoting the expansion of digital strategies for emerging fashion brands in France. This initiative follows a successful pilot program launched in 2018 and is designed to provide financial support to fashion designers in their efforts to develop digital activities and content.

The primary objective of this initiative is to support fashion designers, both in clothing and accessories, by enabling them to enhance their brand image and further their economic and creative interests. Projects submitted for consideration should stay within a budget of up to 20,000 euros and focus on digital development. For instance, designers may choose to create an online store, implement digital promotional content, or even organize a fashion show utilizing digital devices.

To be eligible for this call for projects, designers must have a legal business status for a maximum of five years. Moreover, their company’s turnover in the last financial year should fall between 30,000 and 500,000 euros. Applications will be evaluated based on several criteria, including the creative potential of the proposal, the brand’s creative maturity, the company’s strength, the relevance of the digital project to the brand’s development, and overall application quality.

The “Grants for the Development of Digital Content for Fashion Brands” initiative was launched on February 18, 2019, and is open for submission until April 19, 2019. A reviewing committee will convene in June to evaluate the projects and announce the winners in July. For further details and registration, interested designers can visit the official website.
