Michael Kors Appoints New Men’s Division President

Recently, Michael Kors made a significant announcement regarding its men’s division, appointing Andrea Pesaresi as the division’s new president. With 25 years of experience in high-end men’s fashion, Pesaresi’s background at Ermenegildo Zegna and Philippe Model makes him a valuable addition to the Michael Kors team.

Starting on October 15, 2018, Pesaresi will lead the charge in revamping the men’s ready-to-wear offerings at Michael Kors, with the goal of achieving one billion dollars in sales. Reporting directly to John Idol, the company’s chairman and CEO, Pesaresi’s leadership is expected to bring fresh insights and innovative strategies to drive the division’s success.

John Idol expressed his confidence in Pesaresi’s capabilities, citing his extensive knowledge of the luxury men’s marketplace. This appointment aligns with Michael Kors’ overarching strategy to enhance its presence in menswear and boost revenue growth.

Beyond Pesaresi’s appointment, Michael Kors is also making strides in expanding its presence in China. Collaborating with Chinese actress and singer Yang Mi on a capsule collection and enhancing its WeChat shopping operations demonstrate the brand’s commitment to growth in this key market.

Evidenced by its recent quarterly results with an 8% revenue increase to one billion dollars, Michael Kors is on a positive trajectory. Strong wholesale performance, including a 19.5% increase, and growth in retail sales at 3.2%, indicate promising outcomes for the brand.

With Andrea Pesaresi leading the charge in the men’s division, Michael Kors is poised to continue its success and solidify its standing in the luxury fashion industry.
