MCM and Bape Collaborate to Create Lunar New Year Capsule Collection

MCM, the renowned German luxury fashion house, and Bape, the popular Japanese streetwear brand, have teamed up once again to create an extraordinary Lunar New Year capsule collection. This special collection pays homage to the Year of the Dragon and seamlessly merges the distinct styles of both brands.

The Lunar New Year Edition capsule collection is characterized by vibrant patterns, playful graphics, and a fusion of Bape’s iconic shark motif with MCM’s signature Visetos pattern. At the heart of this collection lies the prominent Bape STA logo, encircled by a golden dragon, representing confidence and a rebellious style for the new year.

One of the standout pieces in the collection is the Shark Hoodie, crafted in Black & Cognac Visetos, proudly displaying the collaboration logo and the Bape shark motif. Additionally, the collection showcases MCM’s most sought-after silhouettes, including the Backpack, Belt Bag, Crossbody, Boston, Weekender, North-South Tote, and handheld Pouch. These iconic pieces are reenvisioned with a transparent rendition of Bape’s renowned camo pattern, elegantly debossed in gold over the Cognac & Black Visetos material.

Each item in the collection is adorned with durable gunmetal hardware and features oversized graphics, bold patterns, and daring animalistic patches, all adorned with the collaboration logo.
