Max&Co. to Launch First-Ever Childrenswear Line for Girls

Max&Co., the popular Italian fashion label under the Max Mara Group, has recently unveiled its plans to launch its first-ever childrenswear line for girls aged 4-16. The exciting new venture is a collaboration with Brave Kid, a company owned by OTB, and the capsule collection is set to be available for the Spring/Summer 2024 season. This partnership between Max&Co. and Brave Kid will not be limited to just one collection, as it will extend beyond the initial launch to include the Fall/Winter 2024 season and future collections.

Brave Kid will be responsible for the wholesale distribution of Max&Co.’s new childrenswear line for girls. The debut of the collection is scheduled to take place at the company’s showroom in Milan in July. Customers will then be able to purchase these trendy pieces from Max&Co.’s flagship store in Milan and through the e-shops of both Max&Co. and Brave Kid starting from November 2023.

What sets this new childrenswear line apart is its bold color palette, with the collection featuring iconic children’s items that draw inspiration from the aesthetics of Max&Co.’s adult collections. The line will offer a diverse range of looks, ranging from everyday essentials to more formal pieces.

Max&Co.’s global omni-channel director and global brand ambassador for Max Mara, Maria Giulia Prezioso Maramotti, emphasized the importance of capturing the brand’s unique style and DNA in the girls’ collection. She highlighted the concept of lightness and the brand’s dedication to style and design, creating garments that embody Max&Co.’s core values of quality, creativity, and versatility.

Max&Co. has been a well-known name in womenswear for four decades and has a strong presence through its online platforms and over 400 stores worldwide. Germano Ferraro, the CEO of Brave Kid, expressed his pride in having a brand with Max&Co.’s strong DNA choose Brave Kid’s expertise and know-how to enter the childrenswear market with its first girls’ line.

Brave Kid, a division of the OTB group owned by Renzo Rosso, has been active in the childrenswear industry for over 30 years. The company designs and distributes junior lines for OTB’s renowned labels, including Diesel, MM6 Maison Margiela, and Marni, and also holds licenses for Dsquared2, N°21, and Myar.

The collaboration between Max&Co. and Brave Kid represents a significant expansion for both brands, combining their expertise and creativity to meet the fashion needs of young girls. With Max&Co.’s established reputation in womenswear and Brave Kid’s extensive experience in childrenswear, the new childrenswear line for girls is poised to make a bold statement in the fashion industry.
