Max Mara Group showcases diverse fashion lines with influential collaborators

Max Mara Group, a prominent fashion house in Italy, recently held a remarkable event at Piazza del Liberty to showcase three of its esteemed fashion lines. The event was graced by the presence of three influential and iconic figures in the fashion industry: Kate Phelan, Anna dello Russo, and Mary Katrantzou, each representing a different line within the Max Mara group.

Known for her vibrant and energetic sense of style, Anna dello Russo presented a captivating capsule collection for Max&Co. Her collection truly reflected her unique aesthetics, characterized by bright colors and attention-grabbing designs. Collaborating with Max&Co allowed Anna to express her fashion sense in a way that perfectly aligned with the brand’s youthful and trendy vibe.

Kate Phelan, a highly influential stylist based in London, presented her chic and cool Anglo-inspired designs for Weekend Max Mara. Her collection drew inspiration from a Vogue photoshoot in 1982, which had a profound influence on her artistic direction. With a fusion of retro denim styles and country-inspired pieces, Phelan effortlessly evoked a sense of sturdy elegance that resonated with the brand’s core values.

The collaboration between Mary Katrantzou and Marina Rinaldi, a brand owned by the Maramotti family, also brought forth a visually stunning capsule collection. The installation for Katrantzou’s collection was a sensory delight with cascades of vibrant colors taking over the space. Her designs showcased meticulously engineered prints, color-blocking outerwear, and knitwear dresses, capturing the essence of Marina Rinaldi’s clientele.

Max&Co, under the creative direction of Anna dello Russo, presented a reimagined and deconstructed version of their DNA. The collection featured snazzy basics and pastel hues, along with recycled polyester jackets known for their remarkably soft texture. Overall, it was a bold and fashion-forward version of Max&Co, catering to the brand’s youthful clientele.

The collaboration between Marina Rinaldi and Mary Katrantzou proved to be a resounding success. Katrantzou created 15 stunning looks, including precision-engineered print plissé dresses, color-blocking outerwear, and exquisite knitwear dresses. The collection struck a chord with Marina Rinaldi’s clientele, resulting in a significant increase in sales compared to previous designer collaborations.

Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, Mary Katrantzou managed to find personal and professional success. She successfully launched her resort collection, Mary Mare, although it faced delivery delays due to the pandemic. Moreover, she experienced immense joy during this time as she welcomed her son, Michael, into the world, further adding to the happiness in her life.

Max Mara’s showcase of these three distinct fashion lines illustrated the brand’s versatility and ability to cater to a wide range of aesthetics and customer preferences. Each collection embodied the signature styles of their respective collaborators, making the event a true celebration of creativity and fashion excellence.
