Matchesfashion.com, the well-known luxury fashion destination based in the UK, has recently unveiled its inaugural brand campaign, featuring American model Christy Turlington Burns and actor Ashton Sanders as the campaign’s faces. This strategic move by Matchesfashion.com is part of their effort to underscore the brand’s distinctive approach of seamlessly blending content, commerce, and community. Research has shown that incorporating storytelling into marketing efforts can significantly increase the likelihood of a purchase by almost 50%.

Jess Christie, the chief brand officer at Matchesfashion, emphasized that the brand campaign was crafted to showcase the retailer’s unique positioning and perspective in bridging commerce and content. The Stories of Imagination campaign aims to elevate customer engagement on a global scale, across physical and digital platforms. Drawing from their extensive experience in narrative building, Matchesfashion aims to inspire their audience and create meaningful connections through this campaign.

Photographer Chloe le Drezen was tasked with bringing the campaign to life, capturing captivating imagery in New York, and creating two digital films to complement the visual storytelling. Christy Turlington Burns and Ashton Sanders were selected as the faces of the campaign for their embodiment of innovation and creativity in their respective fields. The digital films, titled One Rhythm and On Becoming, offer a glimpse into the career journeys of these individuals and the defining moments that have influenced their philosophies on life.

In a departure from traditional print advertising approaches, Matchesfashion strategically placed the campaign at exclusive locations in London, New York, and Los Angeles throughout the month. Additionally, the digital films will be screened in select independent cinemas like Curzon, Electric, and Everyman Cinema.

Matchesfashion’s debut brand campaign marks a significant move towards elevating customer engagement through powerful storytelling and visually compelling content. As the campaign gains traction in key cities around the world, the brand is poised to spark meaningful conversations and establish deeper connections with its global audience.
