Rental income saw a significant increase of 9.2%, reaching £147.8 million, and retail income rose by 7.5%, demonstrating the high demand from occupiers and the positive footfall in the area. Profit after operating costs also grew, reaching £99.3 million compared to the previous year. Additionally, ‘revenue profit before tax’ surged 16.7% to £74.9 million.
Despite incurring a pre-tax loss of £102.3 million, primarily due to the revaluation of investment properties, the Howard de Walden Estate remains resilient and continues to thrive. Its success solidifies its reputation as a trusted and successful property company in the Marylebone area.
