Marylebone High Street Welcomes New Niche Fashion Brands

London’s Marylebone High Street is becoming renowned for its selection of niche fashion brands, and its village-like ambiance only adds to its appeal. The Howard de Walden Estate, the major property company in the area, proudly announces an impressive 98% occupancy rate as it welcomes two new names to its diverse collection of brands.

One of the recent additions to the street is Ganni, a contemporary Danish fashion brand. Situated at 69 Marylebone High Street, Ganni has taken over the former Aesop store. The brand brings its ethos of affordable luxury and commitment to sustainability as a certified B Corp to the vibrant neighborhood.

Another exciting addition to the area is luxury leisurewear brand Derek Rose, which will be opening its doors at 39 Marylebone High Street just in time for the Christmas season. Known for its impeccable craftsmanship and timeless designs, Derek Rose adds a touch of elegance to the shopping experience in Marylebone.

Rob Kirk, Head of Retail & Leisure at The Howard de Walden Estate, expresses his enthusiasm for these new additions, highlighting the estate’s role in ensuring a timeless appeal and unique offering for visitors, local residents, and tenants alike. The addition of these two distinct brands further enhances the allure of Marylebone Village, especially as the festive season approaches.

The Howard de Walden Estate has experienced strong financial performance in recent times. Rental income saw a significant increase of 9.2%, reaching £147.8 million, and retail income rose by 7.5%, demonstrating the high demand from occupiers and the positive footfall in the area. Profit after operating costs also grew, reaching £99.3 million compared to the previous year. Additionally, ‘revenue profit before tax’ surged 16.7% to £74.9 million.

Despite incurring a pre-tax loss of £102.3 million, primarily due to the revaluation of investment properties, the Howard de Walden Estate remains resilient and continues to thrive. Its success solidifies its reputation as a trusted and successful property company in the Marylebone area.

As Marylebone High Street’s popularity grows, it is evident that its unique charm and diverse retail offerings continue to attract both locals and visitors. The neighborhood’s vibrant energy and thriving community make it an ideal location for fashion brands looking to establish a presence and cater to a discerning clientele. With the approach of the festive season and beyond, residents and tourists can look forward to discovering the latest fashion trends and experiencing the unparalleled appeal of this stylish district.
