Marion Cotillard Stars in Dior’s Latest Lady Dior Campaign

French actress Marion Cotillard has once again teamed up with luxury brand Dior for their latest Lady Dior campaign. Known as the face of Dior since 2008, Cotillard takes on a futuristic and graphic style to portray Lady Dior as a science-fiction character, while also showcasing the brand’s iconic bag.

The campaign is shot in two distinct locations, creating an intriguing atmosphere. The first scene takes place in a foggy telephone booth, while the second is set in a field of solar panels. These choices of environments help to emphasize the avant-garde nature of the campaign and highlight the clean tones of the collection.

Cotillard is seen wearing two colorful dresses with high necklines and sequin-embroidered sleeves, perfectly complementing the two new it-bags designed by Dior’s artistic director, Raf Simons. One bag features metallic lines that reflect the atmosphere of the photographs, while the other bag displays a subtle patchwork effect with multiple colors.

Dior has a long history of collaborating with influential personalities to promote their products, and Cotillard has been a staple in their campaigns for over a decade. In recent years, Dior has also worked with big names like Jennifer Lawrence and Rihanna to modernize its image and reach a wider audience.

To capture the essence of this spring collection, Dior enlisted the renowned photographer Peter Lindbergh. Lindbergh is well-known for his black and white photography and has had a successful career working with top fashion magazines such as Vogue Italy, Vogue America, Vogue France, Vogue UK, and Vogue Germany. He has also collaborated with The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, and Allure.

Lindbergh made history in 1988 when he became the first photographer to shoot Anna Wintour’s cover for the American edition of Vogue, a significant moment that propelled his career even further. He is also famous for his iconic photograph of Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Tatjana Patitz, Cindy Crawford, and Christy Turlington, which symbolized the rise of the supermodel phenomenon.

For this campaign, Lindbergh brings his unique style to showcase Dior’s new collection of dark and iridescent handbags, which perfectly complement the aesthetic of Raf Simons’ latest runway shows.

In addition to her acting talents, Cotillard showcased her musical abilities in last winter’s Lady Dior bag video campaign. Titled “Snapshot in LA” and directed by Eliott Bliss, the film featured Cotillard’s vocals blending with band leader Joseph Mount from Metronomy.
