Marcelo Burlon: A Rising Star in the Fashion World

Marcelo Burlon, a rising star in the fashion world, recently wowed audiences with his latest menswear collection at a dazzling event in Milan. The show’s setting, complete with a striking blue and black carpet and a massive disco ball, perfectly complemented the stylish designs on display.

This season, Burlon unveiled a fresh brand image for Marcelo Burlon County of Milan, featuring a rich blue color scheme inspired by the brand’s updated corporate identity. The iconic logo was given a makeover with a houndstooth pattern and psychedelic motifs that were prominently showcased throughout the Fall/Winter 2020-21 collection.

The collection featured a fusion of sporty ensembles, comfy trousers, military-inspired pieces, and laid-back formal wear. Burlon’s move towards softer tailoring was evident in the array of sharp suits and costumes that graced the runway.

Speaking about the evolution of his brand, Marcelo Burlon highlighted his foray into more upscale tailoring while staying true to his signature streetwear aesthetic. Collaborations with renowned brands like Swarovski, Caterpillar, Retrosuperfuture, and Chrishabana added a distinctive flair to the collection.

Hailing from Patagonia with roots in Italy and Lebanon, Burlon’s remarkable journey from manual laborer to esteemed designer showcases his unwavering dedication to fashion and music. Founding his eponymous brand in 2012, Burlon later joined forces with Davide De Giglio and Claudio Antonioli to launch New Guards Group (NGG), a conglomerate responsible for streetwear sensations including Off-White, Palm Angels, and Heron Preston. NGG was acquired by Farfetch for $675 million, with Marcelo Burlon at the helm as the creative director of his namesake brand.

With a presence in more than 280 retailers worldwide and six standalone boutiques, Marcelo Burlon County of Milan is rapidly expanding in markets across Italy, Asia, and the United States. Burlon’s dynamic journey from DJ to fashion icon underscores his innovative vision and entrepreneurial zeal.
