Marc Jacobs Collaborates with Kaia Gerber for Marc Jacobs Beauty

Marc Jacobs has chosen to collaborate with Kaia Gerber, the daughter of iconic supermodel Cindy Crawford, in order to promote his cosmetics brand, Marc Jacobs Beauty. Through this partnership, Gerber is anticipated to follow in her mother’s footsteps and burst into the fashion spotlight. At just 15 years old, she has already captured the attention of Marc Jacobs himself, who handpicked her to endorse his beauty products. The announcement of their collaboration was made in September 2016, and the images captured by renowned photographer David Sims will be gradually unveiled online during the course of 2017.

Apart from sharing these photos on various social media platforms, Marc Jacobs also intends to showcase Gerber in a short film. In 2017, the designer plans to place a strong emphasis on his cosmetics brand, Marc Jacobs Beauty. He recently introduced the #CastMeMarc campaign on Instagram, a competition that allows users to enter for a chance to participate in the promotion of Marc Jacobs Beauty products next year.

By teaming up with Gerber, Marc Jacobs is placing his bets on a talented young model who is already well-versed in the fashion industry. Prior to this collaboration, Cindy Crawford’s daughter has accumulated experience working with prestigious fashion brands, such as Chrome Hearts, Alexander Wang, and Miu Miu.

In the Marc Jacobs Beauty 2017 campaign, the 15-year-old showcases voluminous, crimped, and wavy flame-red hair. Her smoky eyes are intensified with striking blue eyeliner, which perfectly complements the zebra-patterned sleeves on Gerber’s outfit and enhances her enigmatic gaze.
