Manolo Blahnik Appoints Elodie Bougenault as Chief Commercial Officer

Manolo Blahnik, the luxury footwear and accessories brand, has announced the appointment of Elodie Bougenault as its new Chief Commercial Officer. With over two decades of experience in the luxury fashion and fine jewelry industries, Bougenault brings valuable expertise to her role which will begin on June 26. Her primary focus will be to drive the brand’s strategic plan globally, with particular emphasis on the Asian market.

As Chief Commercial Officer, Bougenault’s responsibilities will span across wholesale, retail, and digital channels. She will be tasked with establishing a strong brand presence in both new and existing markets, as well as overseeing the implementation of the company’s ambitious expansion plans. With her extensive knowledge of the Asian market, Bougenault is expected to play a pivotal role in driving growth in that region. Despite her focus on Asia, Bougenault will be operating from Manolo Blahnik’s London headquarters.

Andrew Wright, currently the Chief Commercial Officer, will shift his attention to delivering long-term growth plans for the Americas. This will involve the opening of new stores on both the East and West Coasts of the United States, as well as exploring potential opportunities in Central and South America.

Kristina Blahnik, CEO of Manolo Blahnik, expressed her excitement about Bougenault’s appointment and highlighted the valuable insights she will bring, particularly following the brand’s recent court case victory in China. Blahnik believes that Bougenault’s global perspective, along with Wright’s focus on the Americas, will provide a solid foundation for the continued implementation of the company’s long-term commercial strategic plan.

Bougenault’s track record in brand building, omnichannel business development, and retail excellence make her a valuable addition to the Manolo Blahnik team. Prior to joining the company, she served as the Managing Director of EMEA & Head of Retail Operations Worldwide at Italian luxury lingerie brand La Perla. During her tenure, Bougenault successfully implemented a true omnichannel service and restructured the company, leading to the profitability of the EMEA region.

Furthermore, Bougenault has considerable experience in the Asia Pacific market, having served as the Managing Director of luxury jewelry and watch house Boucheron in Hong Kong. In this position, she played a crucial role in developing the retail, travel retail, wholesale, and digital strategies, contributing to the global turnaround plan of the company. Bougenault has also worked with renowned brands such as Kate Spade, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, and LVMH Holdings, driving high-growth expansion plans.

With the appointment of Bougenault, Manolo Blahnik is well-equipped to continue its global expansion and establish a strong presence in the Asian market. Her expertise in brand development and retail excellence will be pivotal in driving the long-term success of the brand.
