Gianfranco Gianangeli boasts an impressive career in the luxury sector, having previously worked for renowned fashion houses such as Bottega Veneta, Prada, and Givenchy. In 2017, he shifted his attention to his family’s esteemed knitwear factory, Gianangeli Knitwear Factory, situated in the luxurious knitwear district of Perugia, Umbria in Italy. Then, in July 2020, Gianangeli joined Maison Margiela as CEO and played a pivotal role in driving the brand’s growth.
Under Gianangeli’s leadership, Maison Margiela has experienced tremendous success. During the grand opening of the brand’s new headquarters in Paris, Gianangeli proudly announced that he had tripled the brand’s sales within a span of only three years.
