LVMH’s ‘Private Days’ Initiative: Opening Exclusive Sites to the Public

Luxury conglomerate LVMH has recently announced their highly anticipated ‘Private Days’ initiative, which will allow the general public access to 95 of their exclusive sites. Occurring every two years, the event presents a unique opportunity for visitors to explore venues that are typically off-limits to outsiders. These exclusive locations include hotels, fashion ateliers, and jewellery workshops. The event will span across 16 countries and will take place from October 14th to 16th.

This year’s edition of ‘Private Days’ holds particular significance as LVMH will be opening some of its most prestigious sites in Paris for the first time. One such location is the laboratory of beauty brand Officine Universelle Buly, which LVMH acquired in 2021. Other highlights include Repossi’s jewellery workshop in Place Vendôme, the Kenzo design studios, and the Berluti bespoke tailoring atelier. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore a Tiffany jewellery workshop in New York and the Belmond hotels in Italy.

The previous edition of ‘Private Days’ in 2018 received immense popularity, attracting an impressive 180,000 visitors. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, LVMH achieved record-breaking sales and profitability in 2021, outperforming its pre-pandemic results. The company reported revenue exceeding €64 billion and net earnings of €12 billion. As the parent company of renowned brands like Louis Vuitton, Dior, Moët & Chandon, Chaumet, and Guerlain, LVMH continues to solidify its position as the leading luxury group worldwide.

With a workforce of 175,000 employees globally, including 32,800 in France alone, LVMH remains committed to offering access to its exclusive sites. By opening these locations to the public, the conglomerate enables individuals from all backgrounds to witness the artistry and craftsmanship behind its iconic brands. ‘Private Days’ provides a unique opportunity for fashion and luxury enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the world of LVMH, gaining a deeper appreciation for the industry. Whether exploring the intricate Tiffany jewellery workshops or observing the meticulous techniques employed in the fashion ateliers, visitors can truly witness the dedication and creativity that defines the luxury industry.

As LVMH prepares for the upcoming fifth edition of ‘Private Days’, excitement among the public continues to grow. The initiative not only showcases the beauty and exclusivity of LVMH’s sites but also underlines the company’s commitment to transparency and engagement with its audience. By inviting the public into their private spaces, LVMH offers a glimpse into the world of luxury and invites visitors to share in their exceptional journey.
