LVMH’s Participation in China International Import Expo

LVMH, the renowned luxury goods conglomerate, is gearing up to leave a lasting impression on the Chinese market by actively participating in the prestigious China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai this November. Establishing a strong foothold in China ever since the inauguration of its first store in Beijing back in 1992, LVMH’s decision to engage in this globally recognized trade fair showcases its unwavering dedication to expanding its influence in the Chinese market.

The official announcement of LVMH’s involvement in CIIE was made during a high-level meeting between Sun Chenghai, the general manager of CIIE, and Antoine Arnault, the head of communications and image at LVMH. This significant meeting took place at LVMH’s headquarters in Paris during the visit of the President of China, Xi Jinping. Arnault, who also holds key positions in Berluti, Loro Piana, and as a board member of LVMH, reaffirmed the luxury powerhouse’s commitment to exhibit its exquisite offerings at the expo.

CIIE is renowned for its dedication to promoting imported products and services in the Chinese market, providing a valuable platform for foreign enterprises to establish lucrative collaborations in the country. The inaugural edition of CIIE in 2018 witnessed a remarkable turnout of over 1 million visitors, including 400,000 purchasing professionals, exploring a diverse array of products and services from 222 groups representing 172 countries, regions, and international organizations.

Looking ahead to the highly anticipated second edition of CIIE in November, LVMH is all set to showcase its esteemed luxury brands in a lavish 350-square-meter booth exclusively dedicated to luxury goods. The booth will feature distinct sections showcasing a premium selection of products from LVMH’s iconic labels. With a strong presence of over 650 stores and more than 15,000 employees in China, LVMH’s active participation in CIIE underscores its strategic focus on harnessing the immense potential of the Chinese market.
