LVMH Supports Emilia Romagna Region in Italy

Luxury goods conglomerate LVMH has stepped up to support the Emilia Romagna region in Italy, which has been severely affected by recent floods. With numerous fatalities and tens of thousands left homeless, the situation prompted a national emergency response. Though the exact amount remains undisclosed, reports state that LVMH has donated a total of 1 million euros.

The Emilia Romagna region is of great significance to LVMH as it is home to three of the company’s production sites. Furthermore, Italy holds a special place in LVMH’s heart, being considered its second home after France. LVMH boasts several renowned Italian brands in its portfolio, including Bulgari, Fendi, Loro Piana, Berluti, Pucci, Acqua di Parma, Thelios, and Cova. The company employs 13,000 people in Italy and has a deep appreciation for the country.

LVMH expressed its pride in and gratitude towards the thousands of individuals working with the company in Italy. Toni Belloni, the Group Managing Director, showed his support for the affected employees and all Italians impacted by the tragedy. Belloni emphasized LVMH’s special connection with Italy, highlighting the influential Italian brands under the company’s umbrella.

LVMH’s generous donation mirrors those made by other luxury brands, further exemplifying the industry’s solidarity. Kering, the parent company of renowned brands like Gucci, Saint Laurent, Pomellato, and Brioni, also contributed on behalf of its maisons. Luxury carmaker Ferrari and the Formula One motor racing group have also made donations to show their support.

In the face of the devastating floods and their impact on the people of Emilia Romagna, LVMH recognizes its responsibility to provide assistance. The company believes it is crucial to act and help in any way possible, demonstrating its commitment to the region and its people. LVMH’s donation will undoubtedly provide much-needed support during this challenging time and contribute to the recovery efforts in Emilia Romagna.
