LVMH Showcases Innovations at Viva Technology 2023

Luxury giant LVMH is showcasing its latest innovations at the 2023 edition of the Viva Technology exhibition. The company has created a shared space called “Dream Box” to bring together the technological advancements implemented within its Houses. Franck Le Moal, CIO of LVMH, explains that the theme of dreams was chosen because they are a powerful driver of innovation. The exhibition features 18 of LVMH’s Houses showcasing over twenty innovations that integrate digital, technology, and physical worlds. The innovations demonstrate how dreams can be transformed into concrete solutions, such as the use of virtual reality to allow the public to explore Louis Vuitton’s historic workshop.

The innovation ecosystem of LVMH revolves around three main pillars: omnichannel, sustainability, and building a community of talents. The first pillar focuses on offering innovative shopping experiences both online and in-store. Christian Dior Couture, for example, will showcase its omnichannel experience offered at its flagship boutique in Paris. The second pillar highlights LVMH’s commitment to sustainability, with Ruinart unveiling a new project to enhance the sustainability of its products, and Moët & Chandon presenting its work on biodiversity and wine production. The third pillar focuses on recruiting and developing talents in technology and data, with LVMH actively looking for engineers and tech professionals to join the Group.

LVMH is also present in the sports innovation hall at Viva Tech. The luxury group has a long-standing involvement in the sports industry and has collaborated with prestigious events and organizations. During the exhibition, Tiffany & Co. will showcase its collaboration with Nike and present a specially-designed trophy for the Major League Soccer. TAG Heuer will unveil the latest features of its connected golf watch, and Hublot will offer a virtual reality experience called “Hublot Loves Football Stadium.” Other houses, such as Make Up For Ever and Le Parisien, will also showcase their sports-related projects.

LVMH’s virtual ambassador, Livi, will play a central role at Viva Tech. Livi, short for “LVMH Innovation Virtual Insider,” promotes innovative projects and supports the LVMH Innovation Award. A new immersive 3D-designed website called “The Journey” will be unveiled at Viva Tech, providing a platform for expressing technology and innovation topics within LVMH. The website will complement Livi’s role in promoting the voice of the Group and its Houses.
