LVMH Implements Significant Changes in Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior Couture Governance

LVMH, the luxury conglomerate, has implemented significant changes to its governance structure within the Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior Couture brands, as well as its Watches & Jewelry segment. Pietro Beccari, who previously led Fendi in 2012 and Christian Dior Couture in 2018, has now been appointed as the CEO of Louis Vuitton. Beccari is well acquainted with the brand, having previously held a leadership role in its marketing and communication department in 2006 when he joined LVMH. He will be succeeding Michael Burke, who will be taking on new responsibilities alongside Bernard Arnault, the CEO of LVMH.

Burke expressed his gratitude to Beccari for his exceptional leadership in elevating the desirability and success of Christian Dior Couture over the course of the past five years. He commended Beccari for his ability to outpace competitors and modernize Louis Vuitton’s heritage. Burke also credited Beccari for effectively overseeing the integration of Tiffany into the LVMH group. In light of Beccari’s new role at Louis Vuitton, Charles Delapalme, who has supervised Christian Dior Couture’s business activities since 2018 as the Deputy CEO, has been appointed as the Deputy CEO of Christian Dior Couture.

Delphine Arnault, the former Deputy CEO of Louis Vuitton who has been responsible for overseeing all product activities since 2013, has been appointed as the CEO of Christian Dior Couture, succeeding Beccari. Bernard Arnault remarked that Delphine Arnault’s appointment is a testament to her remarkable career in the fashion and leather goods industry. He emphasized that her discerning eye and unparalleled experience will be invaluable assets in the continued development of Christian Dior.

Additionally, Stéphane Bianchi, who has served as the CEO of the Watches & Jewelry division since 2020, will also be supervising the newly acquired brands Tiffany & Co. and Repossi within the department. The CEO of LVMH lauded Bianchi’s exceptional leadership, which has contributed to the remarkable results of the segment, including a 16% increase in the first nine months of 2022.
