LVMH Establishes Métiers d’Art Division Headquarters in Paris

LVMH, the renowned luxury conglomerate, is making significant strides in the heart of Paris with its latest developments. In addition to the upcoming opening of the Maison des Métiers d’Excellence in 2025, the Métiers d’Art division is preparing to establish its own headquarters and showcase space in the city.

Situated at 69 Rue Réaumur in the second arrondissement of Paris, the chosen location for LVMH’s Maison Métiers d’Art is currently undergoing renovations. The space is housed in a remarkable Haussmannian building dating back to 1898, characterized by its intricate stonework and magnificent glass roof supported by a grand metal frame. Spanning four levels and covering over 500 square meters, this venue will serve as both office space and a showroom for the companies represented by the Métiers d’Art division.

The concept behind this prestigious address goes beyond catering solely to clients; it also aims to welcome the general public. LVMH intends to foster meaningful exchanges and commercial relationships while highlighting the creativity inherent in the diverse categories and countries represented by the Métiers d’Art division. By centralizing the entire production process in one place, this establishment acts as an accessible bridge to the city and the local community.

Recently, LVMH’s Métiers d’Art division launched its new website, metiersdart.lvmh.com, which is open to the general public. The website serves as a platform to showcase the division’s various areas of expertise, with a particular focus on leather, exotic skins, metal, and textiles. Under the leadership of chairman Jean-Baptiste Voisin and head Matteo De Rosa, the division was established in 2015 with the goal of nurturing unique expertise and cultivating an ecosystem around exceptional crafts and materials.

The division brings together approximately 15 specialist suppliers, generating over €700 million in sales. In the leather sector, LVMH Métiers d’Art has invested in breeding through its partner Domaine des Massifs, as well as in tanning and finishing through collaboration with French tanneries Roux and Italian tanneries Nuti and Masoni. The division’s expertise extends to leather ready-to-wear through its association with Robans. In the exotic skins sector, it collaborates with Heng Long tannery in Singapore and Italy, as well as the majority-owned Spanish company Verdeveleno. Additionally, LVMH Métiers d’Art fully controls Renato Menegatti, an Italian manufacturer specializing in metal parts machining for leather goods and fashion houses, now known as M.ON.DE Metal-on-Demand.

LVMH’s involvement in the metal sector includes partnerships with exceptional Taiwanese metal innovation center GBJM and French metal jewelry and accessories manufacturer Jade Groupe. Jade Groupe has workshops in France and Portugal and became part of the LVMH group in 2021. The division has also formed alliances with Japanese companies, including denim specialist Kuroki and silk fabric manufacturer Hosoo.

In October 2020, LVMH announced its plans to establish the Maison des Métiers d’Excellence, which is dedicated to preserving and transmitting craftsmanship. This venue, located on Rue Bayard near the luxury leader’s headquarters in the eighth arrondissement of Paris, is set to open its doors in 2025.

With the establishment of the Métiers d’Art division in the heart of Paris, LVMH continues to solidify its position as a leader in the luxury industry. The conglomerate’s commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and materials, as well as its dedication to preserving and transmitting traditional skills, ensures its ongoing success and innovative strides.
