In celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8th, luxury online retailer Mytheresa is partnering with twelve globally renowned fashion designers to host a special collection of personal items. The proceeds from the sale will be donated to the organization Mothers2mothers, which focuses on assisting mothers living with HIV and preventing the transmission of the virus from mother to child.
These prestigious fashion designers, including Alessandro Michele, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Sandra Choi, Miuccia Prada, Demna Gvasalia, and Silvia Fendi, have each chosen a personal item or creation to be auctioned off by Mytheresa. The aim of this initiative is to support the NGO Mothers2mothers and raise awareness about the challenges faced by women and mothers around the world.
Among the standout pieces that will be available for bidding, fashion enthusiasts can look forward to a Balenciaga clutch designed by Demna Gvasalia, a “Book Tote” Dior bag with Maria Grazia Chiuri’s initials, a T-shirt from her first collection for Dior, and a vintage necklace belonging to Sandra Choi, among others. Additional designers participating in this charitable project include Pierpaolo Piccioli, Jonathan Anderson, Brunello Cucinelli, Kym Ellery, and Lucie & Luke Meier.
Starting from March 8th until March 19th, all the personal items will be auctioned online on Mytheresa’s website (www.mytheresa.com). In addition to the fashion items, the auction will also feature the sale of eight prints by female photographers, with the proceeds also going towards supporting Mothers2mothers. This presents a unique opportunity for individuals to contribute to a worthy cause while acquiring one-of-a-kind fashion pieces.
