Luxury goods giant Richemont has recently named Dr Bérangère Ruchat as its new Chief Sustainability Officer, emphasizing the company’s dedication to sustainable practices and Science Based Targets. Dr Ruchat, who previously served as Chief Sustainability Officer and Senior VP Sustainability at Firmenich, will report to CFO Burkhart Grund and will immediately begin leading Richemont’s sustainability efforts.
During her 12-year tenure at Firmenich, Dr Ruchat built valuable partnerships, implemented a successful sustainability strategy, and spearheaded the company’s ESG reporting. Prior to that, she held the position of Director of Partnerships at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) and played a significant role in the Partners in Action Program at the United Nations System Staff College.
Dr Ruchat’s impressive educational background includes two Master’s degrees in Political Science from Lausanne University and Public Administration from the Graduate Institute of Public Affairs, Switzerland. Additionally, she holds a PhD in International Relations from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, New York. She also pursued further education in Public Private Partnership Management from Cambridge University and Social Innovation from Stanford University.
With her wealth of experience and academic achievements, Dr Ruchat is highly regarded in the field of sustainability.
