Luxury Fashion Houses Unveiling Cruise 2019 Collections in Unique Locations

Every year, luxury fashion houses capture the attention of the fashion world by showcasing their Cruise collections. These collections are often presented in unique and surprising locations, adding an extra element of excitement and anticipation to the shows. This year is no exception, with renowned brands such as Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Prada all planning to unveil their Cruise 2019 collections in different parts of the world.

Dior has chosen the famous stables in Chantilly, Europe as the venue for its Cruise 2019 fashion show. The Grandes Écuries du domaine, designed by architect Jean Aubert in the 18th century, will set the stage for the show on May 25th. With its equestrian theme, the location pays homage to Dior’s ties to horse racing and its previous use of Chantilly lace in its collections.

Chanel, known for its grand spectacles, will return to Paris for its Cruise 2019 show at the Grand Palais on May 3rd. After the success of their fall 2018 fashion show, where they transformed the venue into a mesmerizing forest, the Maison de la rue Cambon aims to once again captivate the audience with an unforgettable set design.

Meanwhile, Louis Vuitton has selected the stunning French Riviera as the backdrop for its Cruise fashion show. On May 28th, the collection will be unveiled at the Marguerite and Aimé Maeght Foundation, nestled in the picturesque village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence. This architectural gem, dedicated to modern and contemporary art, will provide a unique ambiance for the show.

Gucci, known for its eclectic and theatrical shows, will take its Cruise 2019 collection to the ancient Roman site of Alyscamps in Arles. This UNESCO World Heritage site, steeped in history, will serve as the perfect setting to highlight Alessandro Michele’s vision on May 30th. The brand’s previous show in the Palatine Gallery in the Pitti Palace in Florence was met with overwhelming acclaim, making its upcoming show in Arles highly anticipated.

Finally, Prada has chosen New York as the location for its Cruise 2019 fashion show on May 4th. While the exact venue has been kept under wraps, the Italian house is sure to surprise and delight with its unconventional choice.

Overall, these fashion houses are not only showcasing their latest collections but also using these unique locations to tell a story and create a memorable experience for attendees. Whether it’s paying tribute to equestrian traditions, transforming a venue into an enchanting forest, or embracing historical and cultural landmarks, these Cruise shows are sure to leave a lasting impression on the fashion world.
