Luxury Fashion Brand Hermès Opens New Store in Doha, Qatar

Luxury fashion brand Hermès has recently opened its newest store in Doha, Qatar. Situated in the city’s new shopping destination, Place Vendôme, the 600-square-metre store offers visitors a unique and immersive experience to explore the various crafts of the luxury house.

Designed by Parisian architecture agency RDAI, the store draws inspiration from the region’s unique topography and historical landmarks. The façade takes inspiration from the wind-carved limestone rock formations at Ras Abrouq in the Northwest of Qatar, while the ceiling features sculptural undulating lines reminiscent of the sand dunes in the nearby inland sea of Khor Al Udaid.

Upon entering the store through double glass doors, visitors are greeted by the women’s silk universe and the fashion jewellery. The store is carefully organized, with the silk collections area serving as a central axis that leads to different sections. To the left, visitors will find the watch and jewellery areas, arranged as two intimate salons. Continuing past the equestrian and men’s silk collections, the store unveils the men’s universe, which offers ready-to-wear and accessories. To the right of the entrance, a series of rooms extends through the leather goods section, the collections for the home, and concludes in the women’s universe. Each universe is accompanied by VIP salons that provide bespoke service.

The store also showcases unique artworks throughout. An eye-catching piece is a life-size sculpture of a blue horse by French artist Assan Smati, located in the private garden accessed from the maison universe. Moreover, the store offers a selection of exclusive objects, including a made-to-measure foosball table and a unique soccer ball cast in Rouge H and Craie Swift leathers. These items, coupled with a curated selection of pieces from the Emile Hermès Collection, contribute to the store’s distinct character.

Hermès currently operates six stores in the Middle East, with a strong presence in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Bahrain. In addition to its fashion stores, the brand also has dedicated stores for its perfume business in Saudi Arabia and Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates. The opening of the Doha store further solidifies Hermès’ position in the region and offers customers an unparalleled luxury shopping experience.
