Luxury e-tailer Mytheresa unveils The China Designer Program

Luxury e-tailer Mytheresa has recently unveiled more information about its new initiative, The China Designer Program by Mytheresa. This program aims to showcase and support the emerging talent of Chinese fashion designers. With the release of its latest financial results, Mytheresa announced the launch of the program, which aims to bring visibility to these talented designers with its global customer base. Furthermore, it seeks to raise awareness of Mytheresa’s luxury offerings in the Chinese market through the introduction of exclusive capsule collections.

The four designers selected for the program are Didu, Jacques Wei, Susan Fang, and Xu Zhi. These designers will have the opportunity to showcase their exclusive womenswear capsules on the Mytheresa platform, providing both digital and physical branding moments.

In addition to this, the designers will receive global exposure and unique visibility through a media partnership with T Magazine China, as well as through Mytheresa’s extensive social media presence. With a combined following of 2 million across its owned Chinese and international social media channels, Mytheresa plans to leverage influencer activations and host offline events in Paris and Shanghai next year to further promote these designers.

This program is a strategic move for Mytheresa to strengthen its presence in the Chinese market. The company recently appointed Steven Xu as President of China and APAC and also opened an office in Shanghai earlier this year. These developments demonstrate Mytheresa’s commitment to tapping into the growing luxury market in China and supporting Chinese designers on a global scale.

With The China Designer Program by Mytheresa, the luxury e-tailer aims to not only showcase the work of talented Chinese designers but also foster connections and collaborations between the Chinese and international fashion communities. By combining digital and physical branding moments, global exposure, and unique media partnerships, Mytheresa is positioning itself as an industry leader in championing emerging fashion talent from around the world.

The future looks promising for both Mytheresa and the selected Chinese designers as they embark on this innovative program. As the world becomes more interconnected through technology and a globalized fashion industry, initiatives like The China Designer Program by Mytheresa are essential in bridging the gap between different cultures and promoting diversity and creativity in fashion.

By supporting and nurturing emerging designers, Mytheresa proves its commitment to driving the fashion industry forward and shaping the future of luxury fashion. With its global customer base, extensive social media reach, and strategic collaborations, Mytheresa is well-positioned to pave the way for the success of Chinese designers in the global fashion landscape.
