Luxury Brands in Faubourg Saint-Honoré Can Now Open on Sundays

After the adoption of the Macron law, luxury brands in Paris will now have the opportunity to open their stores on Sundays, bringing increased dynamism to the prestigious district of Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Givenchy, Lanvin, Saint Laurent, and Moncler, among others, will be able to welcome visitors to their boutiques on weekends. This is part of the new map of tourist zones defined by the Macron law, following a model similar to many European cities. Additionally, these stores will be allowed to stay open until midnight.

This change is expected to benefit both tourists and locals alike. Benjamin Cymerman, President of the Faubourg Saint-Honoré Committee, explains that tourists will be more inclined to extend their stay in the city, knowing they can take advantage of the luxury stores’ services on weekends. This change will also lead to additional revenue for the state, job creation, and improved services for Parisians.

It is important to note that the luxury brands in Faubourg Saint-Honoré will not be able to force their employees to work on Sundays or in the evening. The scheduling of shifts will be based on volunteerism, allowing employees to choose whether or not they want to work during these times.

The Faubourg Saint-Honoré Committee, which consists of 120 renowned luxury brands, is planning to meet soon to discuss the new organization and the opportunities that this change brings. In December, the Italian brand La Perla also joined the district by opening a new flagship store, further enhancing the luxury offerings in Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
