Universum, a consulting and research firm, recently released their ranking of the most attractive employers based on a survey conducted among fourth and fifth-year students. This year, luxury brands continue to be highly sought after by the younger generation, especially among business students. Similar to the previous year’s survey, luxury brands dominate the Top 5 most attractive employers for recruitment. LVMH, the multinational luxury goods conglomerate, once again claims the top spot, followed by Hermès in second place. Chanel, which ranked third last year, has dropped to fourth place, just behind the L’Oréal Group. Apple, a technological brand, rounds out the Top 5.
LVMH’s success in attracting young professionals can be attributed to its well-developed employer branding strategy. For the 19th consecutive year, LVMH remains the preferred choice for business students when it comes to job opportunities. The company’s strong recruitment strategy resulted in the hiring of 60,000 individuals worldwide last year, with nearly 40,000 of them being young professionals. In addition to its international reputation and renowned Maisons, LVMH’s appeal lies in its educational programs that cater to young talent. This year, LVMH launched a recruitment plan offering over 3,500 job opportunities through the “You and ME” orientation and recruitment event. Furthermore, the INSIDE LVMH program, established in 2016, has organized more than 150 events in partnership with prestigious French schools and universities such as HEC Paris, ESSEC, Institut Français de la Mode, and CentraleSupélec. INSIDE LVMH also serves as a platform for luxury career opportunities, with over 180,000 registered users.
