Louis Vuitton Unveils Innovative Tile Trunk VIA Trunk

Louis Vuitton, the renowned luxury fashion house, continues to make waves in the digital world with its latest offering. In collaboration with its artistic director, the brand has unveiled a new collectible that brings together the realms of fashion and technology. This innovative creation, known as the Tile Trunk VIA trunk, is a digital version of a physical masterpiece. It features a striking white cube with elegant golden details, set against a backdrop of vibrant sunset colors.

But this design may have already caught your attention, as it made its debut at the Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2024 fashion show held on the iconic Champs-Elysées. Interestingly, this show took place in what could potentially become Louis Vuitton’s first-ever hotel. The mastermind behind this artistic endeavor is none other than Nicolas Ghesquière, who is celebrating his remarkable ten-year tenure as the head of Louis Vuitton’s women’s collections.

This release marks Louis Vuitton’s second foray into the world of digital collectibles. The first was the Speedy 40 VIA bag, crafted by Pharrell Williams, Louis Vuitton Men’s artistic director. Just like its predecessor, the Tile Trunk VIA trunk is a limited edition item with only 200 copies available. However, the exciting news is that starting from February 2024, customers will have the opportunity to request this digital trunk in its physical format. Priced at 6,000 euros, this exclusive product is exclusively reserved for members of Louis Vuitton’s VIA program.

The VIA program, introduced by the brand last June, has caused quite a stir among fashion enthusiasts. The star of the show was the VIA Treasure Trunk, which was made available to a select group of hundred customers through a lottery. These customers eagerly paid around 39,000 euros to be a part of this extraordinary project. Serving as a gateway, the VIA Treasure Trunk allowed its owners to gain exclusive access to future products and experiences through drops.

While the VIA Treasure Trunks themselves cannot be sold, the collectible items accessible through the program, including the Tile Trunk VIA trunk, can be resold. This resale market has found its platform in specialized NFT marketplaces, ensuring that these highly sought-after pieces can find new homes.

In conclusion, Louis Vuitton continues to push the boundaries of luxury fashion by diving headfirst into the digital world. The brand’s Web3 program has not only opened up new possibilities for digital collectibles but also offered a unique opportunity for customers to own a piece of history. The collaboration between Louis Vuitton and its artistic directors has resulted in remarkable creations that blend innovation with exceptional craftsmanship. The Tile Trunk VIA trunk, with its digital and physical presence, is yet another example of the brand’s dedication to staying at the forefront of luxury fashion.
