Louis Vuitton Announces Appointment of Jean Arnault as Director of Watches Development and Marketing

Louis Vuitton has announced the addition of the youngest member of the Arnault family, Jean Arnault, to its team. At just 23 years old, Jean has been appointed as the director of watches development and marketing at the luxury fashion brand. He will be splitting his time between the headquarters in Paris and the watch manufacturing site in Switzerland. In his new role, Jean will be reporting directly to Catherine Lacaze, the global director of watches and jewellery at Louis Vuitton.

Prior to this appointment, Jean had already gained valuable experience working at Louis Vuitton’s Champs-Elysées flagship store and the headquarters’ watches and jewellery department. With his new responsibilities, he will be in charge of developing the brand’s strategy, leading product development and innovation, as well as launching new products in-store. Jean holds an impressive educational background, with a master’s degree in financial mathematics from MIT and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Imperial College London. Before joining Louis Vuitton, he worked as a financial analyst at Morgan Stanley and briefly with the McLaren Formula 1 team.

This appointment comes after the recent promotion of Jean’s brother, Alexandre Arnault, to the position of executive director of products and communications at Tiffany. It also follows the career advancement of his other brother, Frédéric Arnault, who now serves as the CEO of Tag Heuer. The Arnault family has a strong presence in the luxury business, with Jean’s sister, Delphine Arnault, serving as the deputy managing director of Louis Vuitton, overseeing product development. Additionally, Antoine Arnault, another sibling, holds the position of managing director at Berluti and president of Loro Piana, as well as head of image and environment for LVMH.

The Arnault family’s involvement in Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH) extends to their ownership of the luxury conglomerate through the family holding company called “Agache.” The succession plans and the strategic positioning of the Arnault children within the business highlight the meticulous preparation by Bernard Arnault, the patriarch of the family, for the future of the company.
