Louis Vuitton and NBA Collaboration: Exclusive Collection of Leather Goods

Louis Vuitton and the NBA have joined forces once again, this time to release an exclusive collection of leather goods. Designed by the late creative director, Virgil Abloh, this collaboration marks a celebration of the NBA’s 75th anniversary. The highly anticipated collection will be available for purchase on the Louis Vuitton online store starting from June 2, 2022.

The collection encompasses a range of luxurious items, including a backpack, a travel bag, a wallet, an eyewear case, a duffle bag, and a water bottle holder. Each piece proudly showcases the iconic Louis Vuitton monogram, complemented by the vibrant NBA logo in red, blue, and white. Prices for these coveted items will vary, with the wallet priced at 610 euros and the backpack priced at 4,300 euros.

This partnership between Louis Vuitton and the NBA is not the first time that the luxury brand has ventured into the world of sports. Louis Vuitton has been a longstanding partner of the Automobile Club de Monaco, and they recently designed a travel trunk adorned in Monaco’s colors to transport trophies for the renowned Formula 1 Grand Prix. Additionally, the brand has had a strong association with FIFA since 2010, creating a capsule collection for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. This collection featured stylish bags, wallets, and luggage tags adorned with flags representing different countries.

Looking ahead, Louis Vuitton is already making plans for the upcoming Rugby World Cup in France in 2023. The brand is set to design a special trunk to house the prestigious trophy for this international competition.

With a global presence of over 460 stores in 66 countries, Louis Vuitton continues to dominate the luxury market. In its fiscal year of 2021, the brand reported impressive sales of 64.2 billion euros, solidifying its position as an industry leader.
