Longchamp Unveils Renovated Global Store Design

Longchamp has unveiled its recently renovated global store design with the reopening of its Amsterdam location on P.C. Hooftstraat. The French luxury brand’s revamped store draws inspiration from the ambiance of a traditional Parisian flat, exuding a warm and inviting atmosphere reminiscent of the elegance prevalent in the 1940s. The store showcases soft, flowing shapes and incorporates natural materials such as oak, walnut, and wicker. Alongside an array of bags and accessories, the store now features a lounge and library area, complete with a Pierre Paulin sofa, magazines, and books.

As customers approach the store, they are welcomed by a spacious window that allows natural light to illuminate a white stone arch, effectively separating the first floor from a higher lounge area. This distinct lounge area is specifically curated to highlight Longchamp’s iconic ‘Le Pliage’ collections. Near the entrance, a captivating plaster and ceramic artwork by Dutch artist Floris Wubben adorns the wall leading to a central staircase that descends to a stunning vaulted basement. Within this basement, customers can explore a fascinating painting featuring anamorphic circles in vibrant colors.

An exceptional aspect of Longchamp’s new store design is its dedication to incorporating pieces from the brand’s illustrious archive. Each store will include at least one item from the Longchamp archive, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the brand’s rich history. Longchamp’s roots can be traced back to the 1940s when it initially specialized in producing leather-covered pipes and other smoking accessories.

The reopening of the Amsterdam store coincides with the launch of Longchamp’s eagerly anticipated 2023 summer collection. In addition, the luxury brand recently expanded its global presence by inaugurating a new store in Hamburg, Germany.

Longchamp’s commitment to delivering an immersive and unparalleled retail experience reinforces its dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction. The new global store design in Amsterdam elevates the shopping experience to new heights, effortlessly blending elegance, history, and contemporary style.
