Longchamp Secures Prime Spot in Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

Longchamp, a prestigious luxury brand known for its iconic handbags and accessories, has recently made headlines with its latest move in Milan. The brand has secured a prime spot in the renowned Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, often referred to as “Milan’s drawing room.” This historic shopping center, which links the city’s cathedral to the Scala theatre, is a hub for some of the world’s most exclusive luxury labels.

After competing against around 10 other candidates, including well-known names like Camicissima, Porsche Design Italia, and Damiani, Longchamp emerged victorious in securing a 95 square meter space in the gallery. The brand will be paying an annual rent of €760,000, slightly exceeding the city of Milan’s minimum rent requirement of €750,000 per year for the space.

The space awarded to Longchamp includes a window display area, a basement, and a mezzanine, offering the brand ample room to showcase its luxurious collections. Despite offering a slightly lower financial bid compared to the runner-up, Longchamp’s high-quality commercial project played a key role in winning the bid. The city of Milan highlighted Longchamp’s exceptional proposal as a decisive factor in the selection process, with the brand scoring the highest overall in terms of both the technical and financial aspects of the offer.

In addition to its new presence in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Longchamp already has a boutique on Via della Spiga, a prestigious luxury shopping street in Milan. By strategically expanding into one of the world’s most iconic shopping destinations, Longchamp is reinforcing its status as a leading global luxury brand.
