London’s Seven Dials district has recently welcomed two new sustainable fashion brands, Meander Apparel and Rakha. Landlord Shaftesbury praised the brands as significant players in the sustainable fashion industry, cementing Seven Dials’ reputation as a go-to destination for conscious consumers. Meander, a retailer specializing in functional outdoor clothing, has opened its first permanent store in England at 18 Earlham Street. The brand, originally from Scotland, received a substantial investment to support its expansion from a pop-up in Edinburgh to a permanent location in London and a headquarters at North West Circus Place. In addition to its new store in Seven Dials, Meander also operates a pop-up store in Spitalfields. For Rakha, a responsible contemporary womenswear brand, its flagship store is now located at 46 Monmouth Street, covering 699 sq ft. The brand prioritizes ethical practices and exclusively works with manufacturers across Europe that are committed to environmental consciousness. Both Meander and Rakha were drawn to Seven Dials due to its overall appeal and ability to attract a diverse community of socially conscious brands. Samantha Bain-Mollison, Retail Director at Shaftesbury, expressed enthusiasm in welcoming these two brands and emphasized the significance of sustainability in Seven Dials’ long-term strategy. With Meander and Rakha joining the community, Seven Dials continues to showcase its commitment to curating a diverse and thoughtful fashion scene.
