The British Fashion Council (BFC) is shaking up the traditional fashion event format with the introduction of London Fashion Week: Insiders, an innovative consumer-focused weekend event set to coincide with London Fashion Week (LFW). Scheduled for February 16 and 17 at The Store X, 180 Strand, this event promises to provide unparalleled access to the glamorous world of high fashion for fashion enthusiasts.
London Fashion Week: Insiders will showcase a range of activities, including see-now, buy-now catwalk shows, industry talks, retail spaces, and interactive consumer experiences. In a bid to promote sustainability within the fashion industry, the BFC has teamed up with BBC Earth and acclaimed sustainable fashion designer Amy Powney of Mother of Pearl for a special segment on Positive Fashion. This collaboration will highlight the environmental impact of the fashion industry and encourage sustainable fashion choices.
The event will feature a series of talks focused on sustainable fashion and consumer behavior, which will be filmed by BBC Earth for a global audience. Attendees can look forward to SS19 collections from renowned designers such as Fyodor Golan and Osman, as well as exclusive limited edition tote bags designed by Richard Quinn, known for his memorable show at last year’s LFW where Queen Elizabeth II made a surprise appearance.
Offering two ticket options – Insider and Front Row – attendees can choose between a standard experience or splurge on exclusive perks with the Front Row ticket, which includes front row seats at catwalk shows, access to VIP lounges, and luxurious versions of the limited-edition tote bags filled with lifestyle, fashion, and beauty products.
