London Designer Outlet Enjoys Successful Summer Season with Spice Girls Reunion Tour Boost

London Designer Outlet enjoyed a successful summer season, with a significant increase in footfall attributed to the much-anticipated Spice Girls reunion tour. The outlet’s prime location next to Wembley Stadium proved to be a strategic advantage, as it saw a substantial 9.2% rise in retail sales during the months of June, July, and August compared to the previous year.

The excitement surrounding the Spice Girls’ three sold-out shows drew large crowds to the area, many of whom took the opportunity to explore the wide range of restaurants and shops at London Designer Outlet before and after the concerts. The lineup of other top artists performing at Wembley Stadium, such as The Who and Pink, also contributed to the influx of visitors.

In line with the overall increase in sales, same-store revenue at London Designer Outlet saw a commendable growth of 4.8% during the summer period. The outlet also experienced a 3% rise in footfall compared to the same time frame in the previous year, as reported by Realm, the management company overseeing LDO.

Sue Shepherd, the dedicated manager of London Designer Outlet, expressed her satisfaction with the bustling summer season, noting that customers traveled from both near and far to take advantage of the exceptional discounts of up to 70% off retail prices offered by the outlet. Notably, the footwear category emerged as a standout performer, with a remarkable 23% surge in sales. Brands like Dr Martens, Kurt Geiger, Vans, and Converse were significant contributors to this growth.

Aside from the popular footwear brands, London Designer Outlet boasts a diverse selection of retailers including Next, Jack Wills, Superdry, Gap, and H&M, all of which continue to attract shoppers seeking quality products at discounted prices.
