Loewe’s Commitment to Fighting COVID-19 and Supporting Education

Spanish luxury brand Loewe, under the leadership of Creative Director Jonathan Anderson, is doing its part in the fight against the ongoing coronavirus epidemic. The fashion house recently announced that it will donate 100,000 surgical masks to the Spanish Red Cross, as stated in an official statement. Additionally, Loewe’s production site in Getafe has also started producing non-surgical protective masks on a voluntary basis.

But the brand’s contribution doesn’t end there. Loewe has committed to donating a portion of the proceeds from its upcoming capsule collection, named Paula’s Ibiza, to various educational projects. From May to August, for every product sold either online or in stores, €40 will be donated. This will be in addition to the initial donation of €500,000.

Furthermore, Loewe plans to team up with the Plataforma de Infancia, a Spanish organization dedicated to safeguarding the rights of children and adolescents, to implement educational programs next summer. The aim of these programs is to reduce inequality and prevent school dropouts.

By combining their mask donation and support for educational projects, Loewe is demonstrating its commitment to addressing both the immediate and long-term effects of the pandemic. This comprehensive approach showcases the brand’s solidarity and engagement during these challenging times.

The efforts made by the Spanish luxury house to support frontline institutions and contribute to the fight against COVID-19 will have a significant impact. The donation of surgical masks to the Spanish Red Cross will help protect healthcare workers and volunteers, while the production of non-surgical masks ensures the safety of Loewe employees, their families, and volunteer workers.

Loewe’s decision to invest in educational initiatives further emphasizes their belief in the transformative power of education. By partnering with the Plataforma de Infancia, the brand aims to address the educational challenges faced by socially vulnerable children and adolescents who have been affected by the pandemic. These programs will focus on reducing inequality and preventing school dropouts, ultimately making a positive impact on the lives of these young individuals.

All in all, Loewe’s dual efforts in donating masks and supporting educational programs exemplify the brand’s commitment to solidarity, social responsibility, and making a difference during this global crisis.
