Loewe Reopens Flagship Store in Soho District

Loewe, the luxury fashion brand that falls under the umbrella of LVMH, has recently reopened its flagship store in New York City’s Soho district, following a complete renovation. The store, which spans across 270 square meters, embodies the unique ‘Casa Loewe’ concept, combining a point of sale with an art gallery.

Situated at 79 Greene Street, the two-story store showcases Loewe’s impeccable ready-to-wear and accessories lines. The design of the space pays tribute to the architectural style of the neighborhood, incorporating an array of natural materials. From exquisite hand-glazed ceramic finishes and lathed iron details to elegant brass accents and warm wooden components, the store emanates an inviting and visually captivating atmosphere for customers.

Setting itself apart from the rest, the newly renovated store doubles as an art gallery, drawing inspiration from similar galleries in Barcelona and other artistic hubs. Within the New York premises, various pieces from Loewe’s collection are displayed, showcasing the brand’s commitment to promoting artistic crafts. Customers can marvel at a diverse range of artworks, including an acrylic painting on canvas by Cuban artist Zilia Sánchez, a handmade basketry creation by Joe Hogan, and a Japanese tea set designed by ceramist Takuro Kuwata. The collection, which includes paintings, sculptures, and furniture, will continuously rotate to ensure that visitors always have something fresh and exciting to discover.

In addition to the reopening of its New York flagship store, Loewe has reached notable milestones in the retail sector this September. The brand has launched a captivating pop-up store in Tokyo’s renowned Isetan Shinjuku department store. This temporary space beautifully showcased Loewe’s fall/winter collection, and its enlarged logo perfectly aligned with the aesthetic of the collection. As for London, Loewe inaugurated a pop-up store within the prestigious Harrods department store, offering customers an exclusive shopping experience until September 30. The centerpiece of the store is an impressive artwork in the shape of a large pumpkin, created by the talented artist Anthea Hamilton.

In recent years, Loewe has experienced remarkable success, with sales increasing by a staggering 38% in 2021, reaching a total of 456 million euros. This success can be attributed, in part, to the brand’s creative director, Jonathan Anderson, a British designer who has played a pivotal role in shaping Loewe’s unique identity. Through innovative store concepts and a unwavering dedication to artistic craftsmanship, Loewe continues to set itself apart within the luxury fashion industry.
