Loewe, the Spanish luxury label owned by LVMH, is once again drawing inspiration from the island of Ibiza for its latest summer collection. Despite the difficulties posed by the pandemic and travel restrictions, Loewe has successfully captured the essence of Mediterranean summers in its Paula’s Ibiza collection.
Jonathan Anderson, the creative director of Loewe, explained his desire to infuse a carefree beach vibe into everyday attire, embodying the sparkle and vitality of the Balearic Islands. The collection boasts a wide range of garments suitable for both men and women, including soft blazers, feminine dresses, and stylish combinations of tops and trousers. Loewe aims to cater to varied needs and occasions, extending beyond the summer season.
The collection’s designs take inspiration from Paula’s founders, Armin Heinemann and Stuart Rudnick, incorporating prints influenced by the natural world. Additionally, the collection features crocheted details, tie-dye effects, chambray embroidery, and textured patterns, which add an extra touch to each piece.
Beyond clothing, the Paula’s Ibiza collection offers a selection of accessories, such as canvas fisherman hats, diver-style sunglasses, and handbags woven from natural yarns. One standout item is the ‘Anagram’ basket tote, skillfully handcrafted in Colombia by artisan women associated with the Corporación Oficio and Arte NGO.
To complete the Paula’s Ibiza experience, Loewe includes the tropical scent of its unisex perfume, Paula’s Ibiza, which was first introduced last year.
