Les Enfants Terribles Charity Fashion Show

In early 2015, the highly anticipated charitable fashion show Les Enfants Terribles will be held in Paris, dedicated to the legendary Maison Gaultier. ULTIMZ Magazine had the incredible opportunity to interview the organizers of this event, who revealed that it will be more than just a fashion show – it will be a true Gaultier-style spectacle.

Set to take place on January 14, 2015, the Les Enfants Terribles charity fashion show has a noble cause – to support research against digestive cancers. The organizers ensured that the location of the show would be unique in line with the medical research aspect of the project, and they chose the picturesque Réfectoire des Cordeliers.

The organizers wanted to capture the essence of the designer himself, so they decided to incorporate ready-to-wear creations by Jean Paul Gaultier into the fashion show, catering to both adults and juniors. This promises to be a fashion extravaganza that mirrors Gaultier’s innovative and boundary-pushing designs.

But the Les Enfants Terribles event goes beyond just fashion. It will also feature a concert, making it a truly exceptional experience. The organizers’ vision is to create a show that stands out from the rest, capturing the imagination and leaving a lasting impression on the attendees.

After the fashion show, there will be an exciting luxury grand prize competition, where participants will have the chance to win unique creations from GaultierJunior, including customized sailor shirts designed by talented artists from the Village des Créateurs. Max Chaoul, the godfather of the Village des Créateurs, will also be a part of this incredible event.

The main objective of the Les Enfants Terribles project is to raise funds to advance research in digestive cancers. It was inspired by the personal experience of the Vessiere sisters, Anne and Sophie, who decided to fight against this disease after their loved one was diagnosed. Drawing on Anne’s connection as a stylist for the Junior Gaultier license under the Zannier Group, the sisters established a partnership with the Gaultier House to bring their vision to life.

This fashion show aims to revolutionize the perception of cancer research and raise awareness, particularly among the younger generation, about this lesser-known form of cancer. Jean Paul Gaultier, who is always involved in original projects, is known for breaking conventions and creating remarkable shows during his fashion shows.

In addition to Les Enfants Terribles, Jean Paul Gaultier is also actively involved in various charitable initiatives, including the fight against AIDS and breast cancer. He even designed a special collection for the brand Lindex dedicated to raising awareness for breast cancer.

As Jean Paul Gaultier moves away from ready-to-wear, he is opening himself up to new prospects and potentially paving the way for more significant charitable initiatives in the future.
